StyleBridge Migrates Design Services to WordPress Framework

WordPress logoBeginning November 2012, StyleBridge Web Design will be utilizing the functionality of the Genesis Framework, a WordPress theme that serves as a foundation to web site design and development.  We hope that this framework will allow us to better serve our clients through faster design services, improved technical options, and client content management capabilities.  By making this switch, StyleBridge can follow its motto of “web sites made simple” and keep design costs down while still providing clients with unique and personalized designs.

“I was amazed at what StyleBridge was able to do with my website.

Since I am just starting out on my own and also not very creative, I just had a rough color scheme and one page of notes. From that, StyleBridge was able to develop a professional website in a short period of time. They included things that I had not thought of such as pictures and links to news feeds.

The fact that they did so much with so little input from me was really impressive. I highly recommend StyleBridge for professional website development.”

First Impressions of a Website

A study this year from the Missouri University of Science and Technology suggests that first impressions form quickly on the web.

The study also says that “it takes a little longer – about 2.6 seconds – for a user’s eyes to land on that area of a website that most influences their first impression.”

According to the study and accompanying article, first impressions do, in fact, affect how people view an organization:

“We know first impressions are very important,” says Dr. Hong Sheng, assistant professor of business and information technology at Missouri S&T. “As more people use the Internet to search for information, a user’s first impressions of a website can determine whether that user forms a favorable or unfavorable view of that organization.”
